Conventional Contact Lenses Soft or rigid gas-permeable lenses are used for one year.

Daily Wear Schedule Contact lenses are worn only during the day or waking hours. They are removed before bedtime. This is the best and safest wearing schedule.

Disposable Contact Lenses Only available in soft contacts, these lenses are thrown away after 1 day, 1 week, 2 weeks, or 1 month of wear as prescribed by the doctor.

Extended Wear Contact lenses are worn during the day and over-night, usually one to several days without removal of the contact lenses. More follow-up visits are required to ensure good corneal health.

Monovision A treatment technique often prescribed for people age 40 and over who are affected by presbyopia, a part of the natural aging process when the eye's crystalline lens loses its ability to bring close objects into clear focus. Monovision means wearing a contact lens for near vision on one eye and a lens for distance vision on the other eye.
